3. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

We handle your personal data in compliance with the GDPR (DSGVO) and treat it as confidential. Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. email) may have security risks.

Where processing is based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), you may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.

Right to file complaints

You may contact the supervisory authority responsible for data protection in your country of residence.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive data which we process on the basis of your consent or a contract in a machine-readable format and to request transmission to another controller, where technically feasible.

4. Data security and payments

Payment transactions (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, direct debit) are only processed via encrypted SSL/TLS connections. With encryption active, your payment details cannot be read by third parties.

5. Information, blocking, deletion

You have the right to request information about stored personal data, as well as correction, blocking, or deletion within the limits of statutory retention obligations.

6. Opposition to advertising emails

We object to the use of our published contact data for sending unsolicited promotional material. Legal action may be taken against spammers.

7. Data collection on our website

Cookies

We use cookies to make our website user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Most are “session cookies” deleted after your visit. Others may remain until you delete them.

Cookies required for electronic communication or to provide services you request are stored under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Other cookies (e.g. analytics) are explained separately below.

You can configure your browser to inform you about cookies, allow them only in individual cases, or block them entirely. Disabling cookies may limit functionality.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP address

These data are not merged with other data and are deleted after 30 days.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, technically correct operation).

Contact form

Data entered in a contact form is processed only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and used to respond to your inquiry. Data are stored until the request is resolved or you request deletion, unless retention obligations apply.

Customer and contract data

We process personal data when necessary to establish, perform, or end a contractual relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data are deleted after the end of the relationship unless legal retention periods require longer storage.

Data transmission to third parties

We transfer personal data to third parties only where necessary to fulfill a contract (e.g., shipping companies, payment processors). No further transfer occurs without your consent. No data is transferred for advertising purposes.

8. Analytics and advertising

Matomo (formerly Piwik)

We use the open-source web analytics service Matomo.

  • Matomo uses cookies to analyze website use.
  • Information is stored on our server; the IP address is anonymized before storage.
  • Data are not disclosed to third parties.
  • Matomo cookies are retained for 13 months.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in optimizing our website).

You may opt out of Matomo tracking. An opt-out cookie will then prevent tracking. If you delete your cookies, you must reactivate this setting.

9. Newsletter

To subscribe, we require a valid email address and confirmation of ownership (double opt-in). Additional information is optional. Data are processed only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You may revoke consent at any time, e.g. via the unsubscribe link. Data are stored until you unsubscribe. Data stored for other purposes remain unaffected.

10. Data hosting and transfers

Our website is hosted on servers located in the USA. Data are transferred outside the EU/EEA. We will implement GDPR-compliant safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
